M/s. Shiva Shankar Minerals Limited(SSML), incorporated in the year 1986-87, has set up 100% Export Oriented Units for production and manufacure of:
SSML is engaged in iron ore mining and export of iron ore. The company has obtained lease of iron ore mine in Karnataka State having an estimated iron-ore reserves of about 10 million tones. The production in current year will be about 7 lakh tones, which include iron ore fines and lumps. The company is owning adequate construction equipment namely excavator, dumpers, automated drilling machines, compressors, imported crushing and screening plants for carrying out minning activities. The Company is exporting its products. During this year the company had exported and marketed about 4 Lakh Tonnes good quality Iron ore. fines and calibrated Oron ore. We are in the process of acquiring few more iron ore areas to double our production and sales targets. The mine situated about 50 Kms from Bellary and Hospet cities, well connected by Motorable Road and Railway Line. The NEB range Iron ore is one of the best hemoatite Iron ore in India as its and rich and low impurities.
SSML is currently engaged in iron ore mining and trading activity also. The company has obtained lease of iron ore quarries to the extent of 33.63 Hect at Ubbalagundi, Bellary Dist. The company has obtained export orders and tied up finance for the export activity and direct exports will begin shortly.
Iron Ore with 63.5% Fe and above content obtained from the quarries stocked in stock yards for further processing. After completion of processing i.e., Crushing, Screening, and grading the material is being exported.
SSML is engaged in the manufacture of granite in its processing plants plants in Andhra Pradesh which is fully equipped with latest sophisticated machinary imported from Germany. SSML has exported granite to Japan, United Kingdom, USA, Belgium, Holland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Ireland, etc. SSML is now developing a new Black Galaxy granite quarry in Andhra Pradesh.
Shiva Shankar Minerals Limited has received Best Export Award from Central Government of India for 5 years (1990-91 to 1995-96) for Best Performance.

Sri G S P Veera Reddy, the promoter of the company who hails from Cuddapah, is a Science Graduate and has commenced business in Civil Engineering Contracts with head quarters at Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, in early Sixties, as a proprietary firm. Sri G S P Veera Reddy, the Chairman of the Group is assisted by his family members – two daughters, Mrs. S. V. Lakshmi Devi and Mrs. M. V. Sunitha Reddy (a graduate engineer) and two sons, Mr. G. Shiva Shankar Reddy, a mechanical engineer and Mr. G. Veera Sekhar Reddy, a mechanical engineer and MBA (Finance & Marketing) and son-in-law Mr. M. V. Pavan Kumar Reddy, a civil engineer. The Top management is assisted by teams of professionals with rich experience in the fields of civil and electrical engineering and other relevant fields. The company employs 350 persons directly and provides indirect employment to about 3000 persons at any given point in time. |
